Further your professional development and gain leadership experience all while expanding your professional network. Committee members are directly involved in identifying new opportunities, guiding projects and offering expertise to advance the association.

How to join
Members are encouraged to submit applications to up to three committees during the sign up period in the fall, and receive committee assignment(s) for the coming year in December.
Members who volunteer to serve on association committees and advisory groups play a significant role in shaping MAR programs, developing public policy, planning great events and advancing the real estate industry.

Awards & Community Engagement
Review the nomination entry forms, select program recipients and formalize a recommendation to the Board of Directors for the MAR awards and scholarship programs. The Committee is also tasked with organizing at least one community service project.
Building & Grounds
Formulate and make recommendations concerning the association facilities and grounds. Including acquisitions, renovations, disposal, cooperative partnerships and high-level maintenance, management and purchases.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Provide oversight and guidance on issues relating to diversity and inclusion. The committee will also offer recommendations for diversity programming, housing policy positions and provide information relevant to cultural inclusion, fair housing, and other related issues to the Board as deemed necessary. E. Guille Garza
Providing real estate professionals with knowledge and awareness of Green high-performance building principles applied in residential and commercial properties. The committee offers the most current information, tools and support regarding green features and benefits to members.
Mary Jo Quay
Provide oversight of all financial matters of the Association, subject to final approval by the Board of Directors.
Foundation Board of Trustees
The mission of the Minneapolis Area REALTORS® Foundation is to partner with and provide support for local organizations that work to end homelessness in our community. We help non-profits that provide housing and housing-related programs and services to low-income families and individuals within MAR’s jurisdiction of Carver, Hennepin, McLeod, Scott and Sibley Counties.
