David is the Director of Research and Economics at the Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS®. He embodies a variety of roles stretching from research, forecasting, economic and policy analysis, media and industry relations as well as education, training and public speaking. He holds a Masters in Housing and Economic Development from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota. He has undergraduate degrees in Urban Geography and International Politics from Macalester College. He has spent time in the public, private, non-profit and consulting worlds.

Past posts include the City of Minneapolis economic development agency, the Family Housing Fund, the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation and the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs.

Since joining the Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS® in 2010, David has been the Associations go-to person for local statistics and economy data, forecasting, research and public speaking. David is currently an approved CE instructor for several market-relate courses. In addition to his CE courses for credit, David is frequently sought after by our local media (print and radio) for his input on local economy trends and developments and frequently publishes blogs to our Association website.
