Board of Director Candidates
Erica Blanchard
Hi, my name is Erica Blanchard and I have been a REALTOR® with Edina Realty in South Minneapolis for the past 5 years. As a proud North Minneapolis resident, I’m a passionate advocate for my community. In 2015 I was given the Jean Leake Award by MAR for my commitment to working with emerging markets. I am the current chair of the MAR Diversity Committee that I’ve served on for the past three years and have the pleasure of having been a member of the Young Professional Committee for the past 2 years. If elected, I will continue to be a voice for our underserved communities and work to engage a broader base of our REALTOR® members.
Frank D’Angelo
Frank D’Angelo is the CEO for EXIT Realty Nexus since 2004 and has been a licensed REALTOR in good standing since 1997. He has served on the Pro-Standards Committee for the Minnesota Association of REALTORS and has been a Board of Director and Government Affairs Director with the North Metro Association prior to their merger with SPAAR.
Frank’s craft and passion is and always has been associated with REALTOR advocacy and education. He understands the importance of the REALTOR Party and has been a strong RPAC supporter. Currently, Frank has been an active volunteer with the Education Committee at MAR and is looking forward to proactively serving on the MAR Board of Directors with your support.
Rosie Hatfield
I am known as many things to many different people. “Mama” as my darling 6 and 8-year-old daughters can be heard yelling from across the room. My clients know me as passionately dedicated to their mission. On social media, you might recognize me as @MsLocalExpert. And my hometown remembers me as the 2002 Hopkins Raspberry Festival Queen and Miss Congeniality. I proudly add to that list: chair of the MAR Education and Professional Development committee, craft beer lover, Minnesota Gopher, and “Rosie the Realtor” with Fazendin REALTORS®. During my 3 years in the industry, I’ve embraced the opportunity to meet, mentor and be mentored by the agents, staff and leadership of MAR. It would truly be an honor to be an agent ambassador on the Board of Directors, committed to and engaged in the continued growth, development and success of our association and profession.
Denise Mazone
I’ve served in a volunteer leader capacity within the association over the past six years. I was selected as a 2013 Emerging Markets Services Scholarship Recipient and appointed to serve on the 2014-2016 Board of Director. Also, have served on the Governmental Affairs Committee, Diversity Committee, Awards and Community Engagement Committee, and Nomination. I currently serve on the Diversity Committee and Awards & Community Engagement Committee. As well the Diversity Committee and Board of Directors at Minnesota Association of Realtors. This work is very important to me. I want to serve on the Board of Directors to give a voice to the voiceless and underrepresented communities. I desire to be the Realtor representing independent brokers.
Jerry Moscowitz
As REALTORS® we have a lot of challenges ahead of us. My goal is simple, focus on listening, look at every angle, continue to be informed and help make choices that make sense now and for the future for our industry. I’m a lifelong resident of the Twin Cities. I have spent my last 16 years as a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Results. This industry has treated me well and I want to give back. I’m currently the Minnesota CRS President and Vice-Chair for MAR Governmental Affairs.
In 2009 I met with Rep. Melissa Hortman to lay the foundation of The Home Buyers Saving Bill. that would get revised and eventually passed 8 years later. It started with trying to make a difference. I hope to represent you, my fellow REALTORS® to continue to try and make a difference.
I am active in the community and annually host a Toys for Tots party (33 years & over 8,000 toys donated). My leisure time is generally my family time which includes 2 grandkids (#3 on the way) and I enjoy my local pro sports teams.
Ryan Scheldrup
My name is Ryan Scheldrup and I am the Broker of EasyStreet Realty. I have been REALTOR for almost 7 years. I serve or served on several MAR committees including Government Affairs, Agent Advisory Council and the Awards Committee which I chair this year. As the chair of the Awards Committee, I see what wonderful things our members are doing to in our communities to improve them. We have so many members that are making a difference and as a member of the Board of Directors, I would work to make sure the association continues to highlight these members in every possible way. I would also want to work to make sure we continue to grow member involvement throughout the organization
