How long have you been in the real estate industry?

20+ years

What made you want to become a Realtor®, or get involved in the industry?

I started in real estate working a summer job and learning from my mother who was newly licensed. I grew my passion for advocacy through my personal experiences and challenges in housing and the excitement I experience assisting people who had credit challenges and generational renters become first-time homebuyers.

What is your favorite thing about being a Realtor®?

The strong network and organized advocacy – one band one sound.

What career highlight are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the intentionality I have of local government (city and county) working better with Realtors® and the real estate industry. This is ongoing and not just me, but I am proud of the experience, network and knowledge I have to continue and grow this.

Who or what inspires you in your career?

In my career, I am inspired by those that have come before me but mostly the many Realtors® I know and work with that are transforming HOW we do business by advancing equity and racial equity at every facet of our industry.

What’s something an outsider wouldn’t know about the real estate industry?

So much. One thing would be that real estate is a key economic driver in the US encompassing way more that just real property.

What are your hobbies, and how did you get into them?

I feel like all things housing is my hobby LOL – but probably relaxing by painting or coloring – I got into it as a stress and anxiety reliever and just really love it.

Are you more of an extrovert of an introvert?

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?

Good music – it just takes one song.
