MAR Foundation Trustee Spotlight: Adade Amenounve Tags: Community

How long have you been a Realtor® and a member of MAR? What prompted your decision to become a Realtor®?

I have been a Realtor® since 2005 and now am the Broker Owner of United Realty, LLC.

My former broker recommended that I become a Realtor® because of my ability to work and understand people who are coming to the office to talk to me. He told me that I had a gift with people and I had the “caliber of a broker.” He paid for my first course.

What do you like about being a Realtor®?

The joy of being part of this process is like planning for the homebuyer’s wedding and the celebration of the closing date. The journey from when a potential buyer had a dream of owning a house to the closing table. I don’t advertise, I only get referrals from past clients.

Why did you get involved in the MAR Foundation?

I joined the MAR Foundation to help promote and educate others about the role and the importance of the work that the Foundation is doing. It is like a member of a homeowners association and I want to be more involved in the association.

What are you most looking forward to for the Foundation in 2021?

Looking forward to helping increase member’s engagement.

What would you like people to know about the Foundation and its work?

When I think about the Foundation, I think about the work that is doing in the background to promote and preserve homeownership.

Why is it important for people to give to the Foundation?

Do you know that the Foundation, in partnership with the St. Paul Area Association of Realtors®, hosted an online giving campaign to raise money in support of the rebuilding effort after George Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis?

What is a goal you have for your term on the Trustees?

Bring awareness to other Realtors®.
