The Weekly Pulse | 4-6-26

Good morning Realtors®! Let’s dive into the latest housing market activity. In addition to our regular weekly report, these weekly and monthly charts go beyond some of the higher-level trends. Here’s what the latest data are telling us:

  1. Last week, showing activity was down 16.6% compared to a year ago.
  2. Since all price categories had decreased showings due to the Easter holiday, the smallest year-over-year decrease in showing activity took place for homes priced between $500-600K, down 8.3%. Showings of homes priced between $300-400K were down 18.3% year-over-year.
  3. Homes priced between $300-400K still make up the largest share of showings (28.5%). Listings over $1M represented 3.1% of all showings.
  4. Mortgage rates averaged at 6.5% across the United States by the end of last week.
