Q4 MLS Fees are due by September 30

    New Member Orientation

    Start your membership out right

To fulfill your new member obligation and become a REALTOR®, you will be scheduled to attend a mandatory New Member Orientation class and complete Code of Ethics training within 90 days of submitting your membership application. Transferring members who have not completed the Orientation and Code of Ethics are also required to attend.

    Orientation provides:

    • An introduction of MAR as a business partner and an understanding of your role in the association
    • Information on the many services, benefits, responsibilities, tools and resources that will help you become more successful

    New Member Code of Ethics

The cornerstone of association membership is the training and commitment to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, as required by the National Association of REALTORS®. Discover your ethical duties to clients and customers, the public and REALTORS®, and fulfill REALTOR® Code of Ethics requirement.

Two ways to complete the requirement

    1. Online (no credit) – Must complete at least 5 days prior to attending Orientation
    2. Instructor-led following New Member Orientation (2.5 hours of continuing education)

    How do I sign up?

You will be contacted by Membership Services to register for New Member Orientation and Code of Ethics at the time of applying for membership. If you opt to do the Code of Ethics training online, and it has not been completed 5 days prior to Orientation, you must attend the Code of Ethics class that immediately follows Orientation.

    Avoid a rescheduling fee

If you are unable to attend your scheduled Orientation date, please contact Membership Services to reschedule. Cancelations must be received by 9:00 a.m. on the previous business day.  A $25 rescheduling fee will be charged each time you cancel after the deadline or fail to attend without canceling.  The fee must be paid in order to reschedule another date.

All membership services are terminated for new members who fail to complete their New Member Orientation and Code of Ethics training within 90 days of registration.
