Member Requirements
Agents are required to complete 30 real estate CE credits in their two year cycle, with a minimum of 15 CE credits in the first year of the cycle.
Make sure your transcript is accurate and up-to-date:
Every year (July 1 – June 30)
- Salesperson and Broker Required Module (3.75 CE)
- 2022/2023 Required Module – Practical Application to Inclusive Representation (3.75 CE)
Completion of this course will also satisfy the 1-hour agency, 1-hour fair housing, and 1-hour broker module requirements.

- Agency Law (1 hour)
- Fair Housing (1 hour)
Association Requirement
Realtors® must complete 2.5 CE of Code of Ethics training every three years in order to continue their membership with the association.

New Member Requirements
The Minnesota Department of Commerce requires newly licensed agents to complete 30 credits of continuing education (CE) by the second June 30 after receiving their license for their first renewal. Check your CE transcripts for requirements and due dates.
New members must complete New Member Orientation and 2.5 hours New Member Code of Ethics training to obtain an active membership with MAR. These programs are scheduled when joining.
New Member Code of Ethics is offered via live webinar for 2.5 CE or online from the National Association of Realtors® (NAR).
