Session 1: Goal Setting
Goal Setting
Successful business owners have goals and strategies as to how they’re going to meet those goals. Attendees will learn how to set financial and personal goals based on what they want to achieve with their business. Attendees will leave the first session with a better sense of how to organize their time based on their goals.
Session 2: Marketing and Networking
Marketing and Networking
During Session Two, attendees will discuss how to show up as a REALTOR® in the world of real estate and within their own sphere. Attendees will learn best practices as it pertains to marketing, networking and organic engagement.
Session 3: Working with Home Buyers
Working with Home Buyers
Home buyers have specific needs that must be supported and represented. Session Three will cover how to be best represented to the homebuyer, the home buying process and how to best support home buyers.
Session 4: The Selling Process
The Selling Process
Session Four will discuss where to generate home seller leads, and how to most efficiently support the home selling process. Knowing every step that should be taken will help attendees feel more confident they’re providing their sellers with a top-notch service.
Session 5: Understanding Contracts
Understanding Contracts
Contracts are legal documents. All real estate agents should understand and be able to explain what’s included in the contracts to their consumers. This session will equip attendees with the knowledge they need to explain the details from the Listing Agreement to the Purchase Agreement.
Session 6: Financing
Financing
Though REALTORS® are not responsible for obtaining financing for their buyers, it is still imperative they understand what financing options are available as it could greatly impact the type of property the consumer can purchase. Attendees will learn the different types of loans, such as FHA and VA loans. They will learn what questions they should be asking their buyers through the buying process to ensure their financing stays in place.
Session 7: Title and Appraisal
Title and Appraisal
In this session, attendees will hear from industry experts regarding titles and appraisals. Attendees will leave understanding what a title work is and how it impacts the home buying and selling process. They will also learn about what an appraisal is, how to prepare their clients for it and issues that can occur if the appraisal comes back higher or lower than the listing price.
Session 8: Home Inspection
Home Inspection and Open Forum
The home inspection process can have an impact on the buying/selling process. Attendees will have a clear understanding of what the inspection process includes, how to prepare their consumers and what, if any, impact it has on the transaction. The second half of the final session will include an open forum wrap up. Attendees will have a chance to ask questions and reflect on what they’ve learned during the course of the New Agent Academy.
