Realtor® Requirements
Every 3 years
Realtors® must complete:
- 2.5 Hours of Code of Ethics training
- 2.0 Hours of Fair Housing training

New Member Requirements
The Minnesota Department of Commerce requires newly licensed agents to complete 30 credits of continuing education (CE) by the second June 30 after receiving their license for their first renewal. Check your CE transcripts for requirements and due dates.
New members must complete New Member Orientation and 2.5 hours New Member Code of Ethics training to obtain an active membership with MAR. These programs are scheduled when joining.
New Member Code of Ethics is offered via live webinar for 2.5 CE or online from the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). If you take this course, please email your completion certificate to in**@*********or.com.

What should I prioritize right now?
With the June 2026 CE deadline approaching, the most urgent requirements to complete are the MN Department of Commerce’s:
2025/26 Salesperson and Broker Required Module: Contracts (3.75 CE)
Completion of this course will also satisfy the 1-hour broker module training requirement
Fair Housing (at least 1.0 CE)
Agency Law (at least 1.0 CE)

How can I check if I've fulfilled a requirement?
Your education transcript in Pulse Portal will show you what your requirements are, and if you’ve fulfilled them or not. Find instructions for how to check your transcript here.
How can I tell if a class fulfills a requirement or not?
Classes at MAR will always say in the course description what, if any, requirements the class fulfills.
Other providers usually also make this clear, but if you’re not certain, reach out to ask.
