![]() Geoffrey BrayMy name is Geoffrey Bray, and I have the distinct honor of being the co-owner and managing broker of Engel & Völkers Minneapolis. I started my real estate career on a whim in 2007 with some sort of 25-year-old ‘complex’ that I could make the entire industry better. Stay tuned. Fast-forward about ten years into my career when me and my business partner were given the opportunity to bring Engel & Völkers to the Midwest. Today, I spend my days doing what I love most. Inspiring others to do the best they can, with the skills they’ve been blessed with gives me the most joy and my greatest opportunity to be my best self. Whether it is leading by example or presenting on topics meant to motivate and inspire, I have deep rooted passions in the real estate industry and a desire to bring legitimacy back to this profession. As a member of the MAR Board of Directors, I will focus most on putting people in a position to succeed. Sometimes, that means implementing new technology or marketing campaigns that elevate the game. But, more often, it’s identifying the right individuals to form a tribe that will elevate each other. There is not a lot in life we are destined to do alone, and given a chance to serve you as a MAR board member, I will do whatever I can help you win! Lastly, I have to give a lot of credit for what I am able to provide to my amazing wife Jessica and children, Gianna, Bennett and Donny. We live in Minnetonka, which is where I grew up. They provide me daily motivation to not waste this life. We only get one, and I am very blessed to spend mine with them. They give me the support I need in my life to try and be a small positive ‘blip’ in yours. |
![]() Barb DavisI’m honored to be running to for a spot on the MAR Board of Directors for 2023. I’ve been selling real estate in the Twin Cities for 16 years, since moving here after a 30-year career in retailing. I joined the Minneapolis Lakes Office and immediately got involved my new community ~ both professionally and personally. Our Team’s tagline is “Committed to Community and Customer Service”. I’ve served on MAR’s Foundation and Government Affair Committee, chairing the committee this year. I also served on non-profit and arts boards too. I am dedicated to listen, learn and participant in the discussion that leads to making an impact, and resolving issues to open more opportunities for all in our communities. My objective is to make more people engaged and successful. |
![]() Ben HahnI am Ben Hahn with Coldwell Banker Realty. I have been in the residential real estate industry for four years, working primarily in the southwest metro. My business is driven by my sphere, 95% of my transactions in 2022 were past clients or referrals. I believe if you treat clients and Realtors with respect good things will happen. As part of my team’s community outreach, we give 5% back to Bridging to help people transitioning out of homelessness. Treating people with respect and helping to build our communities from the ground up are two of my core principles that I believe would be a great addition to the board. When not with clients, I spend my time with my wife and two kids exploring Minneapolis. |
![]() MonicaJo LoveLicensed realtor since 2006. I have a commitment to a democracy, which includes homeownership for ALL. My background is in education, mental health, and currently serving the community as a community organizer in Minneapolis. It is my belief that with an inclusive society people can live purposeful lives. |
![]() Tom MeckeyTom Meckey is a Real Estate Broker specializing in residential home sales, corporate relocation, and new construction. He has over 18 years of industry experience. Prior to entering the real estate industry, Tom worked in IT and Software Sales. He has a degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He lives in the Lynnhurst Neighborhood of Southwest Minneapolis with his wife and two kids. Tom served as board member at the Southwest Minneapolis Business Association. He is also a youth basketball coach and board member with the Minneapolis Lakers and has volunteered his time as an adult leader with the confirmation program at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In 2018, Tom and some business partners co-founded Onward Financing, which is an agent-driven financing company that helps Realtors overcome challenges that box their clients out of the market by providing innovative, short-term, financing solutions that enable move up buyers and down-sizers to move first, and sell later without having write contingent offers. Tom is an advocate for agents and is driven by finding solutions that enable Realtors to differentiate themselves and maintain relevance to their clients. The reason Tom wants to join the Board of Directors is to offer his experience and expertise to the association in an effort to help overcome the external threats that are ever-present in the real estate industry. |
![]() Matt WandzelHello! I’m Matt Wandzel, a Realtor with Edina Realty. I have been a REALTOR® for 9 years and in that time have served on MN Professional Standards, MAR YPN (2019 chair), and MAR Foundation (2021/2022 Chair). Over my career I have helped a broad spectrum of clients, from first time home buyers to sellers looking to right size, and everything in between. I value helping others, and using my experience to help our industry. It’s why I’ve served in the past, and why I’m excited to represent the MAR community on the Board of Directors. When not working, I am active in the Minneapolis cycling community. I lead a cycling club and love to bike all year round (yes, even in winter!) |
