The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) represents members on national real estate issues. NAR is headquartered in Chicago and maintains a significant presence in Washington DC.
Current NAR real estate issues include keeping banks out of the real estate business, permitting associations to sponsor member health insurance plans, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac regulatory reform, FHA modernization, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) reform, do not call regulations, HUD and federal tax issues. There are many more.
