Visit us at the office or download your membership and other appropriate application forms. If you are a licensed real estate agent, it is required that your firm or broker is a REALTOR® member. You will need to provide a copy of your real estate license in order to process your application.
Complete the forms listed under your appropriate membership type and mail or drop them off at the MAAR office. Membership Applications received after 3:30 p.m. will be processed the next business day.

dues and fees
Upon joining the Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS® (MAAR), you will be required to pay member dues which are prorated depending on the month you join. Our annual renewal is billed every November to be applied toward the following calendar year. Member dues must be paid annually in order to keep the membership active. View online dues schedule
In addition to paying membership dues upon joining MAAR, you will also be required to pay the current MLS fees if your broker is a member of the RMLS. View online MLS fee schedule

New Member Orientation and Code of Ethics Training
To fulfill your new member obligation and become a REALTOR®, attend a new member orientation class and complete Ethics training within 90 days of submitting the application.
Upon registration you will be scheduled to attend MAAR’s New Member Orientation. This one-day course introduces you to many REALTOR® benefits and resources.Â There are no CE credits for this course, however you will receive 2.5 credits upon completing the instructor led Ethics training course in the afternoon.
To introduce new members to the role of MAAR as a business partner in your work. To make connections and uncover the many services, benefits, responsibilities, tools and resources that will help you become successful in your work. To understand your role as a new member of the association. And, to complete new membership requirements.
All new REALTOR® applicants of the Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS®. All existing members who wish to be better informed regarding association benefits and services. Transferring members who have not completed the orientation and Code of Ethics requirements.

Avoid a $25 rescheduling fee! New members are asked to cancel and reschedule their Orientation date if they cannot attend. If you opt for online COE training, and have not completed it prior to orientation, you must reschedule or attend the ethics class that immediately follows orientation.
Cancellations are accepted up until 9:00 a.m. on Orientation day. A $25.00 rescheduling fee will be charged each time a member fails to show or cancel for their Orientation program as scheduled. The fee must be paid in order to re-schedule another date.
All membership services are terminated for new members who fail to complete their Code of Ethics training and Orientation program within 90 days of registration.
Code of Ethics
The cornerstone of association membership is the training and commitment to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, as required by NAR. Discover your ethical duties to clients and customers, the public and REALTORS®, and fulfill REALTOR® Code of Ethics requirement.
You have the option of online (no credit) or instructor-led (2.5 education credits) Code of Ethics training. Instructor-led training immediately follows New Member Orientation. Will I receive continuing education credit for completing the Code of Ethics Training?
Yes. You will receive 2.5 education credits for your completed instructor-led COE training.
