All REALTORS® pledge to abide by the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®. The Code sets forth a REALTOR'S® obligations to their clients and customers, to the members of the public and to one another. Local, state and national REALTOR® associations are responsible for enforcing the REALTORS® Code of Ethics.
Unfortunately, an issue may develop between you and your real estate professional (whether REALTORS® or not). Before you file a complaint with a real estate professional, you should first contact them or a principal broker in the firm in an effort to resolve the issue(s).
If, after discussing matters with your real estate professional or a principal broker in that firm, you are still not satisfied, you many want to consider filing an ethics complaint.
