2010 Membership Renewals were due on December 1, 2009.

If You Have Paid Your Dues, Thank You! Otherwise, Please Read On.

Unpaid Members are Now Inactive. All Services Suspended.

Members who did not renew their 2010 MAAR membership by January 5, 2010 are inactive, and all services have been suspended. The current 2010 membership renewal amount is $475 ($375 Annual Dues Renewal amount, a $50 Reinstatement Fee, and a $50 Late Payment Dues Renewal Fee). All payments received after January 5 without the $100 late and reinstatement fees will be held for processing, and membership will remain inactive until the collection of all fees is received by the MAAR office.

NOTE TO BROKERS: If you currently hold a license for an inactive member, you are required to renew their dues by February 2, 2010, or terminate their license with the Minnesota Department of Commerce by this date to avoid office wide termination.

Our policy on suspension, inactivation and applicable late dues renewal and reinstatement fees is pretty clear cut. We sincerely try to avoid these unpleasantries by making you aware of our policy throughout the annual dues renewal process.

Dues moved entirely over to eBilling on November 2. Printed statements WERE NOT snail mailed. Do we have your correct email address? You can easily find out:

1. Go to our home page on mplsrealtor.com (tip: click the MAAR logo on this page).
2. Click the "My Account" tab (at the top).
3. Log in and select "Review or Change Member Personal Information" to check and update your email on the spot.
(Tip: If you have never changed your MAAR password, it will be your last name.)

Renewals must be received at the MAAR office by close of business on December 1, 2009 for the payment to be considered timely irrespective of postmark dates. RPAC promotes your business
Contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes. Contributions to RPAC are voluntary and are used for political purposes. You may contribute more or less than the suggested amount. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal and the National Association of REALTORS® or any of its state associations or local boards will not favor or disfavor any member because of the amount contributed. Seventy percent of each contribution is used by your state PAC to support state and local political candidates. Thirty percent is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 2 U.S.C. 441a. Contributions from LLCs (on LLC checks or using an LLC credit card) are not acceptable by MN-PAC and will be allocated 100% to National RPAC. For further information concerning RPAC contributions, please contact Christopher Galler at cgaller@mnrealtor.com.

Code of Ethics Quadrennial 2012 Requirement
Maintain your REALTOR® “R”
In an effort to raise the level of professionalism in the real estate industry and service to the consumer, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) instituted a quadrennial ethics training requirement. This means that all NAR members are required to complete an approved Code of Ethics training course every four years.

The current quadrennial dates are from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2012. All Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS® (MAAR) members must attend or provide proof of completing the approved course to MAAR by December 31, 2012. NAR has established a timeline for consequences for those who do not complete the training by the specified timeframe, including suspension of national, state and local membership.
